Bike Vail Pass

Once the skis have been put away for the season, break out your wheels and pedal up Vail Pass, an iconic ride that climbs east out of The Vail Valley. The bike path continues up and over to Summit County and is a beautiful and challenging ride. Vail Pass has been the venue of time trials since The Coors Classic bicycle races in the 1980’s. For the casual rider there are places to pull off and take in the views, catch your breath while seeing colorful wildflowers, and look for elk and deer.
